COVENTRY Speedway are pleased to announce the return of the prestigious Brandonapolis individual event on Friday March 26.
The club expects to attract a top-class field for the meeting which will carry a substantial prize fund and is likely to feature a number of current Grand Prix riders.
The Brandonapolis was a major meeting on the Coventry calendar until the mid-80s and was traditionally staged shortly after the one-off World Final, featuring a similar line-up to the title decider.
Top individual events have gradually faded from the British fixture list, but there should be plenty of interest in the prospect of the big guns going head-to-head at Brandon before the start of the World Championship.
Bees' own top riders are expected to feature in the line-up, and details of confirmed competitors will be released shortly.
The Brandonapolis will be the second meeting of the season at Coventry, with the opener set to feature Elite League Champions Wolverhampton in a Challenge match on Friday March 19.
