OLLY is now a full Coventry asset after the Bees management came to an agreement with Swindon for a swap deal which took Morten Risager in the opposite direction.
Bees' strong home record in the last couple of years is in no small part down to Olly's contribution as he showed the ability to make fast starts and head home far more experienced opponents.
He had previously won major Premier League honours with King's Lynn and that set him up well for the 2006 season, when he joined the Bees on loan from Swindon and proved to everyone that he belongs in the Elite League.
In 2007 he pushed his average up still further and established himself in the top five, but bad luck with shoulder injuries ruled him out of around half of Coventry's matches. Even so, he was an integral part of the club's success, attending a number of meetings and offering valuable support in the pits.
Olly also achieved an ambition last year with his call-up for Great Britain in the World Cup, and he was given a couple of outings in the Final. He also secured a top-six finish in the British Final which took him into the World Championship qualifying rounds.
Free from injury, Olly should be fully capable of further increasing his starting average of 5.30 in 2008 and could prove to be one of the most potent second-strings in the Elite League.
